Frank Mir receives 30 days of medical suspension after technical knockout at Bellator 212

The American left the fight after receiving a barrage of punches, elbows and losing a tooth due to attacks from Javy Ayala in the second round of the co-main event.

Frank mir suffered a technical knockout against Javy Ayala at 4:30 of the second round in the co-main event of Bellator 212. The veteran dominated the first round, but when he returned for the second round, he received a barrage of punches and elbows and withdrew from the fight after losing a tooth because of the rival's blows. Because of this, the American received a 30-day medical suspension.

Because he was knocked out for the third time in a row, the Hawaiian Boxing Commission decided to keep Mir away from the cage for a month.

Bellator did a double act by holding events 212 and 213 on December 14th and 15th in Honolulu, Hawaii.
