"Zabit Magomedsharipov x Jeremy Stephens is in the works for UFC 235 on March 2 in Las Vegas, multiple sources told ESPN. The fight is not yet confirmed, but it is in the right direction,” Helwani posted.
Zabit Magomedsharipov is one of the promises of Ultimate at featherweight. He currently occupies 14th place in the category's ranking, but remains focused on the top 10. Undefeated in Ultimate, the Russian has 17 fights and only one defeat in 2013. In the organization, the featherweight has surpassed Mike Santiago, Sheymon Moraes, Kyle Bochniak and Brandon davis.
Jeremy Stephens is in sixth place in the division ranking. The North American wants to return to his winning ways after being knocked out by José Aldo in July this year at UFC Calgary. Before that, 'Lil' Heathen' was on a good run with three straight wins and close to a title shot.
