Former UFC champion, Quinton Rampage Jackson had a performance below expectations at UFC 144, an event held this Saturday (25), in Saitama, Japan. Even though he was supported by the Japanese fans, who have memories of his performances from his Pride days, the North American was dominated by Ryan bader and lost in a unanimous decision by the judges.

At the press conference after the event, Rampage revealed that he had suffered a knee injury, which prevented him from performing at his best. This injury, according to the athlete, would be the reason he did not reach the 93 kg limit for the light heavyweight category, when Jackson was almost three kilos overweight.

“If I’m being honest, I’m not surprised I lost the fight. I know what I can do if I reach 100%, so I think I have a lot of years ahead of me,” said Jackson, ruling out retirement. “I'm ready for more shows. I will be cured soon. I'm like a 'werewolf'. My doctor said I shouldn't have fought, but I'll be back soon”, he concluded.
