Black belt Cristiano Marcello will be the Brazilian representative in the 15th edition of The Ultimate Fighter, the UFC reality show. The official list of fighters was released this Monday by the organization. The winner of the program will sign a six-figure contract (minimum US$100) with the UFC.
With a record of 15 wins and just three losses in MMA, Cristiano was responsible for training jiu-jitsu on the Chute Boxe team for eight years, where he graduated to graduate names such as Wanderlei Silva, Mauricio Shogun and Murilo Ninja. In addition to having had an incredible fight behind the scenes at Pride against Crazy Horse, erasing the North American fighter with a triangle in the show's dressing rooms. The coach and fighter left Chute Boxe in 2009 and founded his team: CM System.
Cristiano is having a good time in MMA and has a recent record of three consecutive victories, the last being over the Spaniard Oriol Gaset in the Nitrix Fight Championship, an event held in the city of Brusque, in Santa Catarina.
TUF 15 is scheduled to premiere on March 9th and will have something new: For the first time, the reality fights will be shown live on the FX channel throughout the United States (previously the program was recorded and only the final was broadcast live ). The broadcasting rights for The Ultimate Fighter in Brazil belong to the Combate channel, which has not yet confirmed the broadcast of the program live or on VT.
