Brazilians beat Canadians on UFC 231 preliminary card

The Brazilians put on a show on the preliminary card of UFC 231, an event held this Saturday (08), in Toronto (CAN). With four representatives in the opening program, three left the octagon with their hands raised. Gilbert Durinho, Dhiego Lima e Carlos Diego Ferreira showed their superiority and beat the hosts Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Chad Laprise and kyle nelsonrespectively.

The country's only setback on the preliminary card was Claudinha gadelha, which was defeated by Nina ansaroff, engaged to the UFC bantamweight champion Amanda nunes.

Durinho wins another

Even with the fans in favor, Olivier Aubin-Mercier was unable to overcome Gilbert Durinho. The Brazilian dominated the three rounds and was close to submitting the host. Even so, he beat the Canadian by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).

Dhiego Lima He entered the Octagon at UFC 231 with the difficult mission of achieving victory to continue in Ultimate. Brazil's participation in Canada began with a beautiful performance by Diego Ferreira in the second fight of the night. The Amazonian showed his experience to the debutant kyle nelson and knocked him out at 1m23s of the second round. Thus, Carlos has his third consecutive victory in Ultimate. Claudinha gadelha was surpassed by Nina ansaroff in the fight that closed the preliminary card of UFC 231. The American won the Brazilian unanimous decision from the judges (29-28 29-28 29-28). Thus, 'Strina' added the fourth consecutive victory in the organization and the tenth triumph in his career. While playing in Rio de Janeiro, she recorded the fourth defeat on her record.
