As is customary in Ultimate, the main fighters who will be in action at UFC 144, an event that takes place this Saturday (25), in Saitama, Japan, performed for the Japanese fans at the show's open training session. Names like Frankie Edgar, Ben henderson, Quinton Rampage Jackson, Ryan bader, in addition to the Japanese Yushin Okami and Yoshihiro Akiyama, showed off their skills in the presentation held at the Gold’s Gym, in Tokyo.
One of those most harassed by the public was the North American Rampage Jackson, who was an idol in the now-defunct Pride, a traditional Japanese event. He will face his compatriot at UFC 144 Ryan bader.
But the Japanese also paid special attention to the home fighters. Yushin Okami, who will face Tim Boetsch, and Yoshihiro Akiyama, who will face the American Jake Shields, both on the main card, participated in the training session open to the public. The two received support from their compatriots, who showed yet another demonstration of how much they enjoy MMA fights.
