Brazilian Ronny Markes is ready to return to the Octagon. With almost 20 kilos less than what he weighed in December, the fighter will make his middleweight debut this Wednesday (15) at UFC on Fuel. The opponent will be the American Aaron Simpson.
Being ready for this fight and going through the weigh-in, which is scheduled tonight, however, was not easy. This is because in December Ronny Markes weighed around 105 kg, after all, he was recovering from a knee injury that took him out of training for almost a month.
“It was a work accident. A teammate of mine fell on my leg during training and I had a small injury”, recalled Ronny Markes, who commented on the preparation and work for the weight cut. “I'm as expected, the preparation was very good and I feel ready to enter the Octagon and give a good performance”, he added.
