Israel adesanya is one of the promises of Ultimate in the middleweight division. In three fights in the franchise there were three victories and two 'Performance of the Night' bonuses. This Saturday (03) the Nigerian will face Derek Brunson on the main card of UFC 230 at Madison Square Garden, in New York (USA). During the Media Day of the 'Last Stylebender' event, it was determined that if the North American wins, his next fight will be for the category title.

“I just need this victory and then I’ll fight for the title next time. I'm ready. We are always in a tournament. My next step, after this victory, is to look at the belt. See, they need new blood, new faces and I'm that new blood, I'm that new guy in the category. I have youth and I am blessed for it,” said Adesanya.
The middleweight declared that he will easily beat Brunson in the Octagon at Madison Square Garden. He also said that he will win another Ultimate bonus.
“I will certainly knock him out. He's actually a veteran, he's been in this business for a while. But this fight won't be a walk in the park. It will perhaps be a walk in the garden. And I will get a bonus, another bonus. It will be my third in this company. Brunson is experienced, that's the contribution he makes to the UFC, but he's going to miss some shots and he just needs to miss one shot against me. I will be ready,” Israel said.
Israel adesanya occupies ninth place in the middleweight rankings. Since his debut with the franchise, the Nigerian has won three in three clashes. His last fight was against Brad Tavares in July this year at the TUF 27 Finale. The fighter remains undefeated after 14 duels in his professional career.
