Erick silva signed a contract with Bellator in September and had his debut scheduled for the 207th edition of the event on October 12th against Lorenz Larkin. With ten days to go before the fight, 'Tiger' suffered a rib injury and was removed from the fight. In an interview with Tatame magazine's website, the Brazilian stated that he plans his first fight in the organization at Bellator 213 on December 15th in Hawaii.

“My desire is to fight in Hawaii, on the same card as Lyoto Machida. But, before talking to the organization, I need to be 100% so I don't start camp still injured. I believe that between this week and the next I will have greater certainty whether I will fight this year or not”, revealed Erick.
The Brazilian is still recovering from his shoulder injury and this week he returned to do some gauntlet training. The prospect is that in a few days Erick will start training with contact so that he can return to the cage as quickly as possible.
“My recovery is going well, I am feeling little pain. I'm coming back slowly. The doctors gave me two months to return to stronger training, but as the recovery has been quick, I am able to do some lighter training. For now, I've only been doing a little of the physical and technical part. I still can't do contact training, because I feel pain in my ribs, but next week I'll try to do it to see how I'll feel”, explained the Brazilian.
Erick has a record of 30 fights, with 20 wins, nine losses and one fight without result. The Brazilian debuted in Ultimate at UFC Rio in 2011 and had 15 fights in the organization. He was fired earlier this year after a run of four setbacks in five duels. In July of this year, Silva fought at the LFA event and submitted Nick Barnes in the first round.
