Patrício Pitbull will wear shorts inspired by Ayrton Senna's helmet at Bellator 209

Ayrton Senna had a short life, but he marked a generation of Brazilians by becoming one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. Bellator featherweight champion Patrício Freire has his compatriot as an idol and reference in his career. Pitbull will defend his title Emmanuel sanchez during the 209th edition of the event on November 15th in Israel and will also pay tribute to the hero.

Patrício designed shorts inspired by Senna's helmet with the colors of Brazil that will be used in the main fight of Bellator 209.

“Inspired by the greatest sporting figure Brazil has ever had, Ayrton Senna, on November 15th in Israel, I will defend my world title wearing shorts inspired by his helmet with the colors of the Brazilian flag! A man who could do things on the track that seemed impossible and left a huge legacy far beyond the sport”, Patrício posted on his Instagram.

Pitbull will put shorts, shirt, gloves and bandages up for auction. The amount raised will be allocated to communities in the northeast that do not have access to water.

“After the fight I will put the shorts, shirt, gloves and bandages up for auction and all the money raised will go to institutions and people in need”, published the fighter.
