After the success of first edition, in November, which consecrated Júnior Cigano, the UFC held this Saturday (28), the second edition of UFC on Fox. The show's fight program features as its main attraction the dispute between North Americans Rashad evans e Phil Davis, where the winner can become the next challenger for Jon Jones to the light heavyweight belt. In the second most important fight of the show, the loudmouths Chael Sonnen e Michael Bisping decide who faces Anderson Silva for the middleweight title.

In addition to defining the new challengers, the fight program features two Brazilians in action. On the main card, Demian Maia face Chris Weidman, while on the preliminary card, featherweight Charles “from the Bronx” will face Eric Wisely.

Rashad evans looking for a title shot
Rashad evans, who is a former light heavyweight champion, is willing to leave the Octagon in Chicago, with the victory and the opportunity to face Jon Jones, his former teammate. To this end, Evans states that his opponent, despite being undefeated, feels the pressure of the challenge and promises to end the duel before the regulation 25 minutes.

“Davis is intimidated. I've seen him around and he's not very confident. He’s not ready for this level and he knows it,” said Rashad. “After spending a year away (due to injuries), I returned with an attitude of never leaving the decision to the judges and throwing blows all the time”, added the former champion

For the “newbie”, however, experience will not be a problem. Stating that Evans wouldn't defeat him even in a “thumb fight”, Davis was emphatic: “Yes, I only have nine professional MMA fights, but inexperience won't be a problem. I have less experience than all the guys I faced and I'm undefeated. I have experience in winning, that’s what matters, and that’s what I’ll experience after winning again on FOX.”

Bisping or Sonnen in the way of Anderson Silva
When it was announced that English Michael Bisping (initially scheduled to face Demian Maia on the show) would take the place of the injured Mark Muñoz in the fight against Chael Sonnen, fans already knew what to expect: a battle of words. And they were not disappointed.

At the press conference prior to the event, Bisping and Chael exchanged barbs, talked nice and even rhymed. Chael attended the press conference with a replica of the belt and spared no praise for himself and the event.

“The show is sold out, everyone will watch and we will set ratings records on FOX. And, if you're not smart enough to put it on this channel, you don't deserve the entertainment”, called the fighter, arguing that his fake belt was duly won in the battle against Silva – who ended up losing “in an upset” after almost five rounds of domain.

Bisping, who is also not famous for his modest words, assured that, despite being considered an “underdog”, he will not disappoint. “I feed on energy and there will certainly be a lot of it, whether positive or negative,” he declared. “He (Chael) is a great wrestler, but I am a great fighter”, concluded the Brit, undefeated in four fights.
