After appear on an ESPN show with a replica UFC belt, the always controversial Chael Sonnen returned to perform with the piece of desire. This Thursday, the American took the belt to the UFC on Fox 2 press conference and placed it in front of him on the interview table.
The middleweight ended up becoming the main person responsible for the fun during the interview. Claiming to own the “real” belt, the American promised to defeat Bisping to face him again Anderson Silva, in an expected rematch.
“I'm not going to fight Anderson in Brazil, I'm not going to fight in Las Vegas, I'm not going to fight him in Chicago, I'm going to fight him in the octagon. I’m going to stop him in five rounds…again”, he teased. “This is the belt I took from Anderson Silva. It’s my title, I slept with it yesterday”, added the American.
On the other hand, the organization's president, Dana White, seems to have liked Sonnen's “belt” and, laughing, called the fighter 'crazy'.
“Chael is crazy, he says all kinds of crazy things, that he is the champion… Listen to me! He is not the champion, he will face Anderson Silva If he wins, he won't fight for the heavyweight title or against Jon Jones… I have to hold a separate press conference to correct everything he says”, joked Dana, laughing. However, the big man confirmed that if Chael beats Bisping, he will have the opportunity for a rematch against Anderson.
“Either Bisping or Chael faces Anderson Silva this summer (from the United States – Between the months of June and August). It’s defined”, concluded the leader.
