Conor McGregor promises 'devastating knockout' at UFC 229

Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Anthony Pettis e Tony Ferguson participated in the UFC 229 open training session, this Wednesday (02) in Las Vegas (USA). However, the fighter most acclaimed by the fans present was the former Irish champion. Even with a 30-minute delay, 'Notorious' was received with applause from the approximately 300 fans present. In an interview at the scene, the loudmouth assured that he will knock out the Russian quickly and devastatingly.

“It’s great to be back close to my fans. Saturday night we're going to get a big win. I predict a devastating knockout. It's going to be easy. It's great to be back. I don't care about any sh*t. I don't care about wrestling, about technique, about any of that. I will be in the octagon on October 6th and I will win by knockout,” said McGregor.

McGregor arrived at open training 30 minutes late. Even so, the fans remained there waiting for the fighter to perform. The fans welcomed 'Notorious' and his son with the traditional shout of the Irish in MMA: “Hello! Hello!”

McGregor began his training with the coaches, warming up and stretching. With the gloves on, the fighter showed his striking skills. The Irishman also demonstrated his uppers and belt kicks. Furthermore, he trained his left punches, which are his main weapon.

Conor McGregor e Khabib Nurmagomedov compete for the lightweight belt in the main fight of UFC 229, on October 06th in Las Vegas (USA). The co-main event will pit the Tony Ferguson e Anthony Pettis. Brazil will have the participation of three athletes: Jussier formiga, Vincent Luque e Alan Nuguette.
