The nine competitors in the Bellator welterweight GP have a new incentive to win the title. This Thursday (27), Curtis James Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, and the MMA organization announced an agreement that will reward the fighter who wins the championship with US$1 million. In addition, the rapper and the franchise signed licensing and advertising contracts for the musician's champagne and sports accessories brands.

Through his Instagram, the rapper announced that he will pay US$1 million to the welterweight GP champion. “I'll put up a million of my own money for the winner of the Bellator Welterweight World Gran Prix,” he posted 50 cent.
In addition to his music career, 50 Cent is an actor and has created beverage and clothing brands. In early 2018, Jackson and Bellator president Scott Coker confirmed they were negotiating a partnership.
