After Strikeforce announced the end of heavyweight division for 2012, Brazil may have another athlete in the category in the UFC. Fabricio Werdum was the first to change organization and now it must be the turn of Antonio Pezão from Paraíba.
The information was released by Pezão's fighter and training partner Rodrigo Minotauro in his column in Jornal Extra. Also according to the note, the opponent for the Tupiniquim athlete's debut would be the former champion Cain Velazquez, who recently lost the category title to the Brazilian junior gypsy.

Despite Minotauro's announcement, sources linked to Antonio Pezão confirmed to SUPER FIGHTS negotiations, but there is still no agreement or definition of an opponent for the debut.
