A new fight between the rivals was confirmed on the main card of UFC 230 in New York (USA). Through his social networks, the former Strikeforce middleweight champion declared that the organization will not need to hold a third fight after the rematch on November 03rd.

However, if Weidman can defeat Rockhold in a rematch. Ultimate may reserve a new meeting between the athletes in the near future.
Luke Rockhold, at 33 years old, has 20 fights in his career, 16 triumphs and four setbacks. His last match was against Yoel romero at UFC 221 in February this year. The American was defeated with a knockout in the third round.
Chris Weidman hasn't fought since July 2017, when he defeated Kelvin Gastelum by completion. The victory broke a losing streak for Gegard Mousasi, Yoel romero and Rockhold. 'All-American' has 17 fights in his career with 14 triumphs and three setbacks.
