Without Ketlen, Tonya Evinger leaves the UFC SP card and faces Aspen Ladd at UFC 229

With the Brazilian leaving due to injury, the North American was called up to face her compatriot on October 6th.

Ketlen Scallop was scheduled to face Tony Evinger in the co-main event of UFC Sao Paulo, but due to a knee injury the Brazilian was removed from the card. This Wednesday, Ultimate found a new opponent for the North American. She will face Aspen ladd on October 6th at UFC 229 in Las Vegas. Show that will have as its main fight the fight for the lightweight belt between Conor McGregor e Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The two fighters came from Invicta FC and will make their second fight in Ultimate. At 37 years old, Tonya Evinger was the women's bantamweight champion. In his first fight, he faced Chris Cyborg in July 2017 for the featherweight belt and ended up being beaten by the Brazilian. In February 2018, the American would fight Marion Reneau, but she was injured and the duel was cancelled. Her record is 26 clashes with 19 wins and seven defeats.

At 23, Aspen ladd she debuted in Ultimate with a victory over Lina Lansberg, in October 2017. The North American is currently ninth in the bantamweight rankings. In April, she would face Leslie Smith, but she was unable to make weight for the category and the fight was cancelled. She has a record of 12 fights with six triumphs and six setbacks.
