Interim UFC welterweight champion Georges St Pierre is looking forward to his rematch with Matt Serra. The fight takes place at UFC-83, scheduled for next Saturday, the 19th, in Montreal, Canada, home of St. Pierre, and the Canadian is excited about fighting in front of his home crowd.
“It's a dream that's coming true”, he told “MMA Weekly”, “It's a great opportunity for me, to be able to shine in front of my audience by winning the world title, and this is something I've wanted for a long time too , because he beat me. I can’t wait, it’s going to be fun.”
Defeated by Serra when he was making his first title defense, St. Pierre doesn't just want to win and regain his belt, he wants to submit his opponent.
“If I win this fight by decision, I won’t be satisfied. I'm going to finish. This is what I want, I want to finish the fight, I want to take him down.”
