Max Holloway defends featherweight belt against Brian Ortega at UFC 231, says website

The confrontation was supposed to take place in July this year, at UFC 226, but the champion was removed from the card after having concussion symptoms

After not fighting for a year, since December last year when he won for the second time José Aldo, Max Holloway will defend the featherweight title in 2018. According to the website “MMAJunkie”, 'Blessed' faces Brian ortega at UFC 231 on December 8th in Toronto, Canada.

The clash between Holloway and Ortega should have taken place in July, at UFC 226, but the champion was removed from the event due to concussion symptoms. It wasn't the first time that Max was removed from a fight in 2018. Previously, Blessed had problems in clashes against Frankie Edgar, in March, and Khabib Nurmagomedov, in April.

The featherweight champion, Max Holloway won the belt in June 2017 when he knocked out Aldo at UFC 212. His last loss was to Conor McGregor in August 2013 at ufc boston. Bless has a record of 21 fights, with 19 wins and three setbacks.

The challenger, Brian ortega comes from a knockout over Frankie Edgar, in the first round, at UFC 222, in March this year. In his eight-year career, “T-City” remains undefeated with 14 victories.
