The roster of Brazilian fighters in the UFC is getting bigger starting this Friday (24). In the first episode of Contender Series Brasil, a franchise program that seeks to give new athletes chances in the largest MMA organization in the world, the franchise chose four athletes from the country to join its staff: heavyweight Augusto Sakai; strawweight Sara Frota; bantamweight Mayra Bueno and flyweight Rogerio Bonorin They are the new Brazilian representatives in Ultimate.

Among the five winners of the first episode of the series, only Antonio Arroyo, who defeated Diego Gaúcho in the judges' decision, was left without his place. Interestingly, only he was unable to end the dispute during regulation time.
Augusto Sakai beats Marcos Conrado and secures contract
In the first fight of the Contender Series, fans could already see what the attraction will be like. Augusto Sakai and Marcos Conrado had an intense battle from the first to the last second.
Conrado started the contest better, but Sakai recovered from the middle of the first round and inflicted a harsh punishment on his rival on the ground. Conrado showed a lot of courage and, even though he was very injured, he tried to stay alive in the fight for the contract. However, after a tough sequence of punches on the ground, the referee ended the dispute and declared a technical knockout in favor of Augusto Sakai.

The first big show of the night was by Sarah Frota. Against Maiara Amanajas, she showed sharp striking and hunted her rival in the octagon from the first second. With good punch combinations, 'Treta', as she is known, left her rival stunned. Halfway through the first round, Sarah placed Amanajas against the bars and with a left cross took her rival to the black canvas.

In the other women's fight in the first episode, Mayra Bueno needed just over a minute to submit Mayana Kellem and secure her contract. In the first few moves, Mayana took the fight to the bars, attacked her rival's legs and attempted a takedown. However, Mayra lassoed her rival's neck, used the hand triangle and knocked out her rival before she could take him down.

The best fight of the night ended the first episode of Contender Series Brasil. By division of flies, Rogerio Bonorin and Gustavo Gabriel had a sensational duel, full of alternations.
The first round started better for Bontorin, who worked well on the ground and opened up an advantage. However, in the second round, Gustavo Gabriel returned to the octagon willing to make up for lost time. He landed a tough sequence of punches on his rival and came close to ending the fight. Rogerio Bonorin He was semi-knocked out, but even so, he managed to recover.
Still feeling the blows, he managed to close the distance, apply a beautiful suplex, reach his rival's back and land a beautiful rear-naked choke to end the dispute.
