The rooster champion, TJ Dillashaw on some occasions he challenged the former holder of the flyweight belt, Demetrious Johnson for a superfight that never got off the ground. 'Mighty Mouse' lost its title to Henry Cejudo at UFC 227 in August. Unable to have an immediate rematch against 'Messenger', the American calls for a superfight between the champions.

“I think it’s good for them. If that's what they want to do, let them do it, you know? I think I read somewhere that TJ said when he was cutting weight he hit 60,3 pounds, so if he wants to do it, do it. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Let them do what they want to do,” Demetrious said.
With his future uncertain in Ultimate after being diagnosed with a knee injury, Johnson remains optimistic.
“I'm not worried because I know I'll be successful wherever I am. If I'm not giving a good shot... at the end of the day, that's something that my management is going to have to deal with because I don't talk to the UFC team because I can't hold back my emotions, and I keep going. It’s real”, concluded Demetrious.
Demetrious had an unbeaten run of 14 fights in seven years, 11 of which were during his flyweight reign. He is now suspended indefinitely by the California State Athletic Commission following UFC 227.
