Communication Vitor miranda via Instagram:
I WAS FIRED FROM UFC, WHAT NOW?
At 4 am I got up to empty my bladder and due to a very bad habit (I know), I took my phone with me to check it out.
I entered the email and there was a message from the UFC: “We inform you that ZUFFA is exercising its right to accelerate the term of its promotional obligations previously signed between you (the fighter) and the UFC, effective from the date of the notice… From the moment I lost three fights in a row in the UFC, this news was a possibility, but we always hope for the best, right... I was hoping to get another new opportunity, redo my training strategy, change categories... Anyway. But the line moves, the wheels turn and capitalism does not do charity. If I want to laugh, I have to make people laugh and that's a fact!
What does the future hold for me?
Many things still. I'm already negotiating a new event, I have the possibility of fighting muay thai again, which is my true passion, my journey isn't over yet, quite the opposite, a new stage is beginning. And man we are fighters, you and me! We never give up, bro! If we lose a battle, we get up, dust ourselves off and move on to the next obstacle, right?
I want to express my gratitude for the UFC, an event I always dreamed of fighting in. When things are meant to happen it doesn't matter what event you fight for, the city you live in, the family you have... Things will happen anyway. Sooner or later. However, it was while being in the UFC that a lot of wonderful things happened in the last 4 years.
So much gratitude for this great event that is the UFC!
I was able to participate in TUF Brazil 3 and with that many people got to know my story, with my signing by the UFC I really was able to become a cool reference for overcoming things inside and outside the Octagon. I was able to acquire a lifestyle for my family that we have always sought... My wife and I fought and sacrificed 12 years to make these last 4 years a reality. And now a new cycle of opportunities begins.
So there's nothing I should do other than start over and keep fighting!
