Less than a week after scoring his biggest career victory over former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, Dustin poirier has already signed his next fight. The North American will have another 'trouble' ahead of him, and will take part in the co-main event of UFC 230 against Nate diaz. The show will take place on November 3rd in New York at Madison Square Garden.

The opponent for his return from Nate diaz after a two-year hiatus outside the octagon, it was being heavily speculated. The most rated fighter was the rival Conor McGregor, so the two would complete the trilogy.
Nate diaz In his career he has 30 fights with 19 wins and 11 losses. He has not fought since his second confrontation with McGregor in August 2016, when he was defeated by the judges' decision at UFC 202. Before that, in March of the same year, the North American defeated the Irishman at UFC 196.
Dustin poirier at 29 years old, he has 30 fights on his record: 24 wins, five losses and one fight without result. His last fight was on Saturday (28) against Alvarez at UFC Calgary and he came away with a knockout at 4:05 of R2. He is on a rise in Ultimate with three consecutive victories.
With the confirmation of the duel between Diaz and Poirier, Ultimate validates the rumors of a lightweight belt fight between the champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov e Conor McGregor in a near future.
