After much provocation between the Brazilian champions, Amanda nunes e Chris Cyborg regarding the date of the superfight, it seems that this was agreed. In an interview with the website “Combate.com” during UFC Calgary, the “Leoa” confirmed that she signed the contract for the fight at UFC 232, on December 29th and is just waiting for confirmation from her rival.

The bantamweight champion stated that she is looking forward to the meeting with Chris Cyborg for the featherweight belt. “It’s a very important fight, especially for Brazil. It will go down in the history of women's MMA. It's definitely December, I've already signed the contract, I'm just waiting for Cris, and we're going to make it happen. I'm looking forward to it, I hope Cris accepts it and in December we will definitely meet inside the cage”, said Amanda.
The Brazilian fighters have already discussed the date of the confrontation on social media. While Cyborg wanted to fight at UFC 228 on September 8 in Dallas. Amanda warned that she would only enter the octagon in December.
“It’s definitely December. I have several things to do right now for work, so I can't do this fight before. But in December, we will definitely meet”, explained Nunes.
The bantamweight champion is already training for the duel with Cyborg, but has not revealed her strategy to beat her rival. Amanda's desire is to win the featherweight belt and make Ultimate history.
“The strategy will depend on the moment of the fight. We train and prepare a lot, but only on the day, when that cage door closes, only then can we put everything into practice. When you step into that cage, you don't think about anything, just about going in and trying to get that belt, which is the most important thing right now. It’s about continuing to make history, that’s what I want,” he concluded.
