Cris Cyborg says the fight between Mayweather and McGregor opened doors for boxing

With her contract with Ultimate ending in March 2019, the Brazilian's future should be in the boxing ring

The Ultimate featherweight champion, Chris Cyborg should fight the bantamweight title holder, Amanda nunes in a near future. With this, it should be Cristiane's last fight for Ultimate, as her contract ends in March 2019. After leaving the organization, the Curitiba native makes plans to go into boxing. In an interview with TMZSports, the Brazilian admits that the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor opened the ring doors for her.

The Brazilian wants to have one or two boxing matches against boxer Cecilia Braekhus. “I would like to have a boxing match. I think McGregor vs Mayweather opened the door for that. Maybe I can pit the best woman in boxing against the best girl in MMA and put on a great fight for the fans,” explained Cris.

Chris Cyborg states that it is open to fight against Ronda Rousey in WWE at some point in his career, but he is currently thinking about bigger clashes. The fight between the champions did not occur while they were in Ultimate.
