Former welterweight champion of Jungle Fight and with experience in Ultimate, Erick silva seek the path to victories. From his new home, the Brazilian faces Nick Barnes in the main fight of Legacy Fighting Alliance 45 this Friday (20) in California, United States. His debut at the event also marks his 30 career fights.
“This “new moment” represents a return to my roots, where it all began, so I view it with the same importance that I have always given to my entire career and I know that my experience will make a difference. I take it naturally about being at another event, as every professional renews themselves and seeks new challenges. It’s time for change!”, explained Erick.

Now an MMA veteran, Erick at 34 years old was already a promise in Ultimate when in his first fight he knocked out Luís 'Beição' Ramos in 40 seconds of fighting. It was six years, with 15 fights with eight losses and seven wins. At the end of his five-fight stint with the organization, the Brazilian lost four and his contract was not renewed.
The Brazilian opponent, Barner has 15 fights in his career, with 12 wins and three losses. He says he is pressured by Silva's experience.
“It adds pressure, but I'm the kind of guy who likes that pressure. Knowing he's a big name and a strong fighter just makes me more excited to go out there and beat him. The reason I did this fight was to test myself, I'm super excited about that. He just left the UFC, this is his debut at the event. So I feel like there's a lot of pressure on his side. I'm going to come in aggressive. Everyone I lost to went to the UFC, so I know I'm close to getting there too,” said Barnes.
