After much anticipation, the coaches for the Brazilian edition of The Ultimate Fighter, the UFC reality show, were announced this Tuesday, during the UFC 142 press conference. Middleweights and former rivals Wanderlei Silva e Vitor belfort They will be responsible for leading teams for the program, which will begin in February next year, broadcast live on TV Globo.

At the end of the reality show, the coaches will face each other, in a rematch long awaited by the Brazilian public. In the first duel between them, which took place in 1998, in the first edition of the UFC in Brazil, Vitor came out on top. On that occasion, Belfort knocked out Wanderlei Silva in a resounding way in just 44 seconds of duel.

“I think the first fight was really quick and I couldn't do what I thought I would. Today I am more experienced, more prepared. I've been waiting for this for a long time. I knew that one day we would face each other again” said Wanderlei. “This is one of the most anticipated rematches in history, I am very happy to be able to give this fight to the fans. I thank the boss for this opportunity to fight again here in Brazil”, added Cachorro Louco.

In turn, Belfort preferred not to argue and said that he will work to perform well on the reality show, regardless of the rivalry against his opponent.

“My job is not to be better than him. It's about doing my best. By doing this, I'm sure I'll do a good job,” said Belfort.
