In less than a week, Patrick Pitbull retained the featherweight belt by winning Daniel weichel in a split decision at Bellator 203 on Saturday (14) and has already been challenged by Emmanuel sanchez through his Instagram account. The Brazilian's opponent stated that it is time for the division to have a new champion. In an interview with the website “Combate.com”, the native of Rio Grande do Norte accepted the confrontation.

“He's next, and I'm going to beat him too. He's a guy I would compare to Tony Ferguson, because it has a strange, somewhat uncontrolled game that works. He has excellent jiu-jitsu, difficult to master, to fight against, but I could neutralize him. I don't see myself losing to any of these guys in the category. I’m going to hurt him,” said Patrício.

The Bellator featherweight champion guaranteed that he will 'clean up' the division, as no opponent has the ability to beat him. “Nobody in the category will be able to dethrone me. It's easier for me to abandon the title or move up a category than to be dethroned. I have already cleared the division several times and I will do so as many times as necessary,” said Pitbull.
