In an interview with the website “The MMA Hour”, Woodley talked about the relationship with Covington at ATT. “I spoke to Din (Thomas, one of the ATT coaches), and I said, 'Din, you know what? I'm going to take him down and see how he reacts'. And I tortured him throughout the entire training session. He ran off the mat practically crying, put his foot in, and I have people willing to come forward and testify about the training camp,” he said.

The welterweight champion said he helped Covington financially when the fighter joined the team as an aspirant. “He was brought to camp to help me train for Rory McDonald, and I've never met a lazier s*** than Colby covington, a human being more horrible than Colby covington”, declared Tyron.

Regarding the “character” created by Colby to promote himself, Woodley says he has contempt.

“So when someone is doing a good (job to promote themselves), like with Conor or Chael (Sonnen), I hate to expose them. But when you have (an employee) from American Top Team scripting and writing your stuff, and when 99% of your social media is my face, you need to hand over your man visa, because you lost all the points”, he concluded.
