Willcox does well at FJJE-Rio

Good fights excited the public who attended the first stage of the State Ranking of the Rio de Janeiro Sports Jiu-Jitsu Federation this Sunday, April 6, in Cidade Maravilhosa.

In the main category, adult black belt, Arthur Gogó (UGF) stands out. The athlete, who has experience in MMA combat, won in the super heavyweight and absolute.

Also impressive was Gabriel Willcox (Carlson Gracie). On his birthday, Willcox won three fights and came out on top in the featherweight division, the most competitive category of the day. After winning the first fight by withdrawal (injury), when he was already dominant, and finishing the second with a choke, the fighter defeated Leandro “Brodinho” (Gordo JJ) in the final by a sweep (2 to 0).

PUBLICITY:

In the lightweight category, Rafael Formiga and Augusto Mendes “Tanquinho” dominated and closed the category. At heavyweight, with his tough guard, the best was Rafael Lang (Akxe). In the other categories, what we saw was dominance by UGF, the event's champion team, with victories by Vinicius Marinho and Willian Rafael in the middleweight and heavyweight categories, respectively.
