The Brazilian Dudu Dantas, just 22 years old, is the winner of the Bellator bantamweight GP in the 2011 season. The Brazilian athlete had a fiercely contested final fight against the American Alexis Vila, but after being disadvantaged in the initial round, with the clinch game opponent Dudu came back better in the second round. With excellent physical conditioning, the Brazilian used his best wingspan to work with knees and kicks. History repeated itself in the third round and Dudu Dantas won the duel with a unanimous decision by the judges (29×28, 29×28, 29×28).
In the final of the heavyweight GP, the duel ended in controversy. Right at the beginning of the fight, Brazilian Thiago “Big Monster” landed a kick to Eric Prindle's genital region. The fight was stopped and the North American had five minutes to recover, but he claimed he was unable to continue the fight and the duel was declared as No Contest (fight without result). So far, the Bellator organization has not yet defined when the new date for the final between the fighters will be scheduled.

Among the duel's super fights, one fight caught the attention of the national public. The Potiguar Patricky Pitbull Freire was facing veteran Kurt Pelegrino, a former UFC fighter. But what seemed like a complicated challenge for the Brazilian athlete ended in seconds. In the first moves of the dispute, Pitbull landed an incredible sequence of punches on the American who fell to the ground. Without wasting time, Patricky continued the punishment on the ground until the referee ended the dispute, declaring a technical knockout.
Shortly after the triumph, in the post-fight interview, Pitbull did not hide his desire to have a rematch against the North American Michael chandler, who defeated him in the final of the organization's lightweight GP.
