The UFC returns to Japan in February next year and the public will be able, in addition to supporting local athletes, to see two athletes who made their names in Japan. The heavy weight Mark Hunt, who was a K-1 champion and star in Pride, and the light heavyweight Quinton Rampage Jackson, Pride GP finalist in 2003, are confirmed at the event that will take place in Saitama.

Hunt will have Frenchman Cheick Kongo, while Rampage face your compatriot Ryan bader, winner of the ninth edition of The Ultimate Fighter, the UFC reality show. The confirmation of the clashes was made by Kongo himself through his Twitter.
“It’s official now. I will fight with Mark Hunt at UFC 144. This will be my first time in Japan, so I'm very excited and proud to be a part of this card, especially now that my brother Rampage will fight there too”, said Kongo.
UFC 144, also called UFC Japan, is scheduled to take place on February 26th, at the Saitama Super Arena, the traditional stage for epic Pride and K-1 clashes. The show's main attraction will be a fight for the lightweight belt (up to 70 kg.), where the North American Frankie Edgar puts his reign at stake against his compatriot Ben henderson.
