The Brazilian Mauricio Shogun next Saturday, in the main fight of UFC 139, he will have the chance to take another step towards trying to regain the UFC light heavyweight belt. In front of the North American Dan Henderson, the Brazilian athlete, who left Curitiba and prepared in São Paulo, expects a tough duel, praises his opponent, but is confident in his victory.
"The Dan Henderson He's a great fighter, a star since Pride (extinct MMA event). It’s a fight I really wanted and it should have happened a long time ago”, said Shogun, in an interview with UFC to promote the fight. The Brazilian also recalled that Hendo has never been knocked out, but promises to bring his aggressive fighting style to the octagon.
“I learned to fight like this (aggressively). I've been fighting this way for 10 years and it pleases the fans. With training that I know how to do, I’m going to go after him”, he said. “He's never been knocked out, but I'm going to get him knocked out,” added Mauricio.
