The second edition of the UFC in Rio de Janeiro, the UFC 142, which will take place on January 14, 2012, at the same HSBC Arena, had two more fights officially announced.
This Monday, the organization announced that the welterweight Erick silva, who beat Luis Beição in the first UFC Rio, returns to the octagon against the Afghan debutant Siyar Bahadurzada, former Shooto world champion.
The other fight announced was the light heavyweight match Fabio Maldonado (photo on the side) and the Bulgarian Stanislav Nedkov. Maldonado is coming off a defeat to the American Kyle Kingsbury, in the TUF 13 Finale, while Nedkov beat the Brazilian Luiz Banha at UFC Rio.
O card of the event will be led by the featherweight champion José Aldo, who will put his belt on the line against the American Chad Mendes.
