Coming off five consecutive victories, Antonio Shoe Face could debut in the top-10 middleweights (up to 84 kg.) soon. But to do so, the Brazilian will have to go through the biggest challenge of his career. He faces the North American Derek Brunson, 7th in the category ranking, at UFC 227, an event that takes place on August 4th, in Los Angeles (USA). The fight was announced by Ultimate itself, in the early hours of this Thursday (03), through a post on social media.

Winner of The Ultimate Fighter Brasil 3 (TUF Brasil 3), the UFC reality show, Shoe Face has a professional record of 10 wins and two losses. The Brazilian occupies 12th place in the division's ranking, and the triumph could elevate the Paraíba native to the group's position in the top 10 in the category.
In turn, Bruson has a record of 18 wins and six losses. The 34-year-old North American is an old acquaintance of Brazilians. In his last four appearances, he faced three athletes from the country. In February 2017, Derek lost to Anderson Silva in a tight decision by the judges. In October of the same year, Bruson recovered at UFC Sao Paulo when knocking out Lyoto Machida, but then fell against Ronaldo Jacare, in January of 2018.
UFC 227 will feature a men's bantamweight title fight as its main attraction. In a long-awaited rematch, TJ Dillashaw face cody garbrandt.
