Alex Cowboy accepted the call of Ultimate and faced the fight in front of Carlos Condit, former interim welterweight champion, with no time to prepare. He submitted the North American and was even rewarded by the organization. The Brazilian took the 'Performance of the Night' bonus at UFC Glendale and earned US$50, around R$171 at current prices.

In addition to Cowboy, the other performance award was won by Adam Wieczorek. The Pole landed a fair omoplata on Arjan Singh Bhullar to take the fight to the preliminary card.

The 'Fight of the Night' bonus, as it could not be otherwise, was for the battle between Dustin poirier x Justin gaethje. For four rounds, the lightweights fought an insane duel, full of frank exchanges of blows and alternation in control. In the end, Poirier won by technical knockout in the fourth round.
