The May 11 event is the first in Southeast Asia and will take place in Jakarta, the capital and largest city in Indonesia. The country will be the eighth to host Brave, after Bahrain, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico and Jordan have already hosted previous editions of the biggest MMA event in the Middle East.

“We are always looking to expand our MMA vision and Southeast Asia has been part of our plans since day one. Our bantamweight champion, Stephen Loman, is Filipino and we want to give the opportunity for new stars to emerge in the region,” commented Shahid.

The fights that will be part of the event will be announced in the coming weeks and Jakarta will also host the traditional open training sessions and official weigh-ins before the event on May 11th.

Brave 12 is Brave Combat Federation's third confirmed show for 2018. In March of this year, the company made its debut in Jordan, where featherweight Elias Boudegzdame became the first Brave champion to defend his belt with a submission victory over Jakub Kowalewicz.

Next week, Brave lands in Brazil for the third time with two title fights – in the main event, Luan “Miau” Santiago faces Lucas “Mineiro” Martins for the interim lightweight belt, while light heavyweight champion Klidson de Abreu defends his crown against Canadian Matt Baker.
