Although the official announcement has not yet been made, Colby covington will come to Brazil, in May, to face Rafael dos Anjos for the interim welterweight belt (up to 77,1 kg.). Colby, who faces dos Anjos at UFC 224, on May 12, in Rio de Janeiro, revealed that he had suffered death threats from Brazilian fans. Despite this, the American says he doesn't care and promises to leave the octagon with the interim welterweight belt.

“This fight will be legendary. It will put my name in history. It was kind of difficult to accept this fight. I know that people want me dead there (in Brazil). I received many death threats. They told me that they are offering money for my head, to kill me before I get into the octagon”, revealed Covington, in an interview with the North American version of ESPN.
