Rampage backtracks on statements about Wand

After all the controversy caused by his statements and the quick response from Wanderlei Silva, Quinton, “Rampage” Jackson, backtracked and retracted the statements about Wand. In an interview with the Fight Hype website, the UFC light heavyweight champion states that he did not criticize the Brazilian in the way previously stated.

“My intention is not to speak ill of him. Everyone also knows my weaknesses. I've fought Wanderlei twice and seen his other fights. Many of the fighters he faced early in his career are people we've never heard of. People we don't know yet because they don't even fight anymore. That's why he got that nickname. He murdered these opponents. There is nothing wrong with that. I'm just saying that he has so much self-confidence because he faced a lot of idiots to fill his cartel,” he said. Rampage.

“This is the world of fighting, not tennis. I didn't call Wanderlei the 'Idiot Killer'. I never said anything like that. That would be disrespectful. I just said he faced idiots. If there are people out there wanting to put words in my mouth, they need to stop being children. I don’t care if some fans are nervous about it because I’m a fighter.”
