Wand revealed that he expects a star-studded card, full of names from the national scene. In the main fight, the fourth meeting between him and Quinton Rampage Jackson.
“I'm trying for my fight to be at Arena da Baixada, against Rampage Jackson. I want both Pitbulls (Patricio and Patricky) on the card, the Raphael Carvalho, que é o campeão dos médios, e o Goiti Yamauchi. O Bellator quer muito vir ao Brasil, e surgiu essa luta com o Rampage, which already fills the stadium”, said Silva, in an interview with the Combate channel website.
"The name of Rampage it came naturally. He looked at me the wrong way at a recent event, and I told the event to marry my fight with him. He is the perfect opponent. I won two, he won one by chance. He didn't even have a fight, he got one in the jaw. I want to do this joke. And there couldn't be a better debut for Bellator than a fight between us. I want to show that I'm better than him. O Rampage is an icon. Who doesn't want to see this fight live? It's the history of MMA! There will be people from all over the world to watch. O Rampage he's going to get knocked out again like he didn't in the first two fights. I will play the Rampage over the cage, outside the octagon”, added Mad Dog, remembering the two times he knocked out his rival.
The event at Arena da Baixada
Wanderlei also commented on how the meeting with the president of Atlético-PR went. According to him, the management of the Paraná club wants to provide full support for the show to take place at the Arena.
“I met the people at Arena da Baixada, where there was the UFC where Werdum fought. They are professional people, who are making it possible, doing a great deal to bring Bellator. It was a fantastic meeting, Petraglia welcomed me very well. He was up to date with the news, he knows Bellator, he was receptive. He said I just have to warm up and fight, because they will do everything they can to make the event happen. They have production underway, I’m sure it will be great to bring it to Brazil and Curitiba.”
