One of the biggest promises on the national scene in the heavyweight division (up to 120 kg.), Lucão “Rinoceronte” Gil has already defeated four rivals in his short professional career, but he dreams bigger. The athlete from Sorocaba, in the interior of São Paulo, does not hide his desire to face the legend Fedor Emelianenko, considered by many to be the greatest heavyweight of all time.

“In MMA, my inspiration is Fedor. Without a doubt he was the toughest heavyweight in history. I would love to face him in the ring, it would be amazing. In boxing, my biggest inspiration was Mike Tyson. For me, he was the greatest in the world!”, declared Lucão.
At 26 years old, the Ninja Fight Team athlete had a great victory over Denis Rodrigues, when he needed just 33 seconds to knock out his opponent. Gaining notoriety on the national scene, the athlete preached respect to other athletes, however, he stated that he can beat any rival in Brazil:
“I don't like to think that I'm invincible, but I believe that today I would go head to head with any heavyweight on the national scene, I train for that,” he stated.
Just like any other athlete playing on the Brazilian scene, Lucão is also waiting for a chance to sign with a major international organization. Accumulating 3 knockouts on his record, the heavyweight intends to fulfill two big dreams in his career:
!My biggest dream is to give my mother a house, this is a childhood dream. The second is definitely to be the category champion of some major international event!”, concluded Lucas Gil.
