The fight against Curtis blaydes, at UFC 221, was the last of Mark Hunt in the octagon. The veteran heavyweight announced that he will not renew his contract with Ultimate. But despite being 42 years old and 14 dedicated to MMA, he doesn't think about hanging up his gloves.

“I would like to fight for another organization three more times and retire. Hang up the gloves. I want to go out there, in my best shape and compete. I feel like I can compete with these young guys, even though they are half my age,” said Hunt, to the North American website MMA Junkie.
Hunt also commented on the strained relationship with the UFC. The fighter recalled that he is suing the organization due to doping Brock Lesnar, his rival at UFC 200. According to him, the UFC turned a blind eye to his opponent's irregularities.
“I am reminded every day that I am the oldest fighter in the universe. I had three fights left with the UFC because I didn't have a good conversation with them when a lot of things happened. Everyone knows I'm suing the UFC. They called me cheap. I survived the PRIDE era (extinct Japanese event, with big events at the beginning of the century), when everyone was doping. I'm here now and they're trying to ignore me,” Hunt added.
