The interim welterweight belt will be up for grabs at UFC 221. The event, which takes place next Saturday (10), in Australia, pits the North American face-to-face Luke Rockhold and the Cuban Yoel romero.

Initially, the main fight of the event would be between Rockhold and the current champion. Robert whittaker, but he was removed from the card due to an injury. Thus, the Cuban won the chance in the main fight and the interim title was put up for grabs.
