After UFC 136, Dana did not hide his desire to see the fight between the champions in the organization and believes that Edgar, one of the shortest athletes in Ultimate, can lose 10 pounds (about 4,5 kg) to face the Brazilian and be becoming the only athlete to hold two UFC belts simultaneously.
"Frankie Edgar has proven that he is arguably one of the two best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. He's defeated every tough guy he's faced since 2006. Honestly, he wanted to see him get down to 145 pounds (66 kg) and face the José Aldo. It’s a reality,” she commented.

I think Aldoo had to step up to be the challenger, so he would have the chance to have 2 belts… Dana is wanting to promote even more the fighter from his country who if he wins (which I think is difficult) will have 2 belts.
IT WOULD BE A GREAT FIGHT BETWEEN THESE TWO AND A CHANCE TO FIND OUT WHO WOULD BE THE BEST IN THE LIGHTWEIGHT CATEGORY. I JUST THINK THE WEIGHT WOULD HAVE TO BE INTERMEDIATE BETWEEN THE TWO SO THAT BOTH BELTS COULD BE DISPUTED AND NOT JUST ALDO'S WOULD BE IN CHECK. LET'S WAIT AND HOPE FOR FIGHTS LIKE THESE TO HAPPEN BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE FIGHTS THAT COULD BE GREAT TESTS FOR THE CHAMPIONS, EXAMPLE OF FIGHTS BETWEEN CHAMPIONS? SILVA VS GSP, SILVA VS JONES, ALDO VS EDGAR, DOMINICK VS ALDO, JONES VS GYPSY OR CAIN, WOULDN'T THESE CONFRONTS BE COOL? AND IMAGINE, SILVA VS SONNEM AT UFC BRAZIL? I THINK SONNEM WOULD BE MASSACRED HERE. THIS IS MY OPINION.
The person who should move up to Zé Aldo's category is Dominick Cruz, as he has already swept his category, Aldo was going to put an end to this scoundrel's strength, while Edgar still has opponents.
