Owner of the heavyweight belt, Stipe Miocic will have a different challenge in their fourth title defense. He will face, at UFC 226 on July 7th, the light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier in one of the biggest superfights in Ultimate history. As usual, the Croatian-American made a point of praising his opponent, revealing the friendship between the two, but guaranteed that he will come away with victory.

“First of all, Daniel is an incredible person. I think he's a great guy. We've known each other for a while and have worked together on reviews and everything. He's an incredible guy, simply put. And he's very tough, he went to the Olympics, won the Strikeforce heavyweight GP and is the current UFC champion. He has so many achievements. But for this super fight I wanted to make sure it was worth it for both of us. We will be able to help our families and, at the end of the day, this is a business”, commented Miocic, guaranteeing the triumph over DC.

“I have nothing against him and I hope he feels the same. It's not about him, it's about me. I want to challenge myself and I will win this fight. After Cormier it won't just be three title defenses, I will have made four defenses. I’m training like crazy and I’m going to go after him”, he added.
