Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr is about to hang up his gloves. The North American, voted the best fighter of the 90s, will have his farewell fight, on the 8th, against Scott Sigmon. But that doesn't mean he won't consider prolonging his career with a superfight. And the chosen one would be the Brazilian Anderson Silva.

Rumors of a superfight between Jones and Spider began in 2009, when the Brazilian was at his peak in the UFC, and revealed his dream of facing the multi-time boxing champion. But, despite speculation about the fight having cooled down, Jones Jr. revealed that he would compete again to face Anderson Silva.

“Of course (he would retire), why not? And I will be in top shape and ready to win, because I don't plan on losing. The only thing I will lose is weight. This isn't a fight – it's a super event. And an event of this size always interests me”, declared Roy Jones Jr, in an interview with the Combate channel website.

Jones Jr, who at the time campaigned for the superfight to happen, remembered the fight between McGregor and Mayweather and assured that the duel against Spider would be 'one of the greatest of all time'
