Daniel Cormier will have the opportunity, on July 7th, to become two-time UFC champion in two different categories. Current owner of the company's light heavyweight belt, the American will face Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight title and could repeat the feat of Conor McGregor by having two belts simultaneously. For DC, the feat could make him the greatest fighter of all time.

In an interview with the program The MMA Hour, Cormier believes that the uniqueness of his feat will be enough to put him ahead of names like Anderson Silva, Georges St Pierre and his arch rival Jon Jones.

“If I win this fight on July 7th, I will be the greatest of all time. I will have done something no one has ever heard of. And that's something I've always looked for. I've always looked for something like that, even in fights with Jon Jones. I always said that if I beat Jones, I would be the greatest of all time. So I believe that, if I manage to win another belt, something that is so crazy that no one has ever tried, then I will at least be in the conversation for the best of all time”, pondered the American, admitting that he will not have an easy life against Myocic.

“When I think about a fight with Stipe Miocic, I think of a very tough fight and a difficult mountain to climb. But the truth is that I have always talked about competition and legacy, so when you think about legacy, if I manage to win it, there is no denying my significance to the sport and what I will leave behind when I retire”, he said.
