Right after the champions Stipe Miocic e Daniel Cormier Having retained their belts in the main fights of UFC 220 last Saturday (20), Dana White, president of Ultimate, suggested that the two face each other in their next commitments for the heavyweight title. Both have no clear challengers in their divisions, and Cormier, light heavyweight champion, has a long history in Miocic's division, where he was Strikeforce GP champion, and beat names like Roy Nelson e Frank mir in the UFC.

I just spoke to Cormier. I see no reason for him not to fight at heavyweight. If he thinks Cain can come back, then if he wins the belt, he can give up. But either way, it's a good fight. With all the defenses he has, Stipe just broke the defense record, so it's an interesting fight. I think it’s a fight that people would like to see”, commented the director.
Cormier, however, didn't seem very excited about the idea, as he is a personal friend and training partner. Cain Velazquez, former heavyweight champion who is working to return to the Octagon.
“I didn’t really think about it. For me it's hard right now because Cain is in the gym. Cain is coming back, getting ready to do what he does best. If he's getting ready to get that belt back, then I have nothing to do for the division. That will never change,” he assured.
