Mauricio Shogun On November 19th, in the main fight of UFC 139, he will have the opportunity to take an important step towards trying to regain the UFC light heavyweight belt. The Brazilian faces the legend Dan Henderson and praises the North American, who won important titles in the UFC, Pride, Rings and Strikeforce.
“I think Henderson is a great fighter since the Pride days, and everyone wants to see this fight,” he said. “I know it will be difficult, but I really wanted to”, added Shogun, during the press conference that took place today in California.
Shogun also commented on the fight between Jon Jones e Quinton Rampage Jackson, held last Saturday (24), when Jones successfully defended his reign in the light heavyweight category.
"Jon Jones managed to control the fight well (against Rampage), but I'm not thinking about the belt. I'm focused on my next fight, which will be a war”, said Mauricio, who also made a point of commenting on the challenge made by Quinton jackson, who wants to face Shogun at UFC Japan, in February 2012.
“I really like him as a person and I know that this fight will happen again at one time or another”, he concluded.
