The Croatian-American Stipe Miocic will, on January 20th, make his third defense of the heavyweight belt at UFC 220. He will face one of the most feared men in Ultimate at the moment, the Cameroonian Francis Ngannou, which comes from frightening knockouts over alistair overeem e Andrei Arlovski. Miocic, however, is not intimidated by the history of his next opponent.

In an interview with the North American website “FloCombat”, the champion guaranteed that he will keep the belt, said that Ngannou is “just another one” and assured that he is used to opponents who have a heavy hand.
“Let Ngannou do what he wants. He's doing well, after all he's going to compete for the title. But, unfortunately, while I'm here, no one else will be heavyweight champion. I sacrificed a lot to give the belt to someone else. He hits hard, of course, but I'm going to keep my head up, dodge his punches and keep my attention. Mark Hunt Doesn't it hit hard? alistair overeem? junior gypsy? Come on, man…He's tough, he's strong and he hits hard, but he's just another one. That’s the truth,” she commented.
Miocic won the heavyweight belt in Curitiba, when he knocked out Fabricio Werdum in the first round of UFC 198. Afterwards, the Croatian-American defended his title with two more knockouts in the opening round, first against alistair overeem at UFC 203, and then in front of junior gypsy at UFC 211.
